Calming Digestion Tonic for Summer
When it comes to optimizing the digestive system, avoiding cold foods and beverages is key. Occasionally, especially when it’s super hot outside, I like to make a chilly little tonic with sparking water. I find that as long as I keep my cold food and drink intake to a minimum, it doesn’t have a negative impact on my digestion.
This recipe is quick and easy and will help you stay hydrated while supporting your tum with warming ginger, calming lemon balm, activating apple cider vinegar, and prebiotic raw honey! Here’s what you’ll need to make this….
Ingredients:
12oz of Mineral Rich Natural Sparking Water
1 Tablespoon Organic Apple Cider Vinegar
1 Teaspoon Organic Raw Honey (I love the one from Lineage Provisions), or you can also use Organic Maple Syrup
Sliced Raw Ginger
Pinch of Maldon Sea Salt (optional)
Squeeze of Lime (optional)
Directions:
Begin by mixing your ACV, lemon balm, lime juice, salt, honey or maple syrup until well combined, slowly add in your sparking water, stir, and enjoy!!
